2022 Chevy Colorado Towing Capacity by Configuration

The maximum 7,700-lb towing capacity on the Chevy Colorado is achieved when you choose the Duramax 2.8L Turbo-Diesel engine with four-wheel drive, combined with the extended cab and long box configuration. However, even if you don’t choose this particular configuration, you’ll still enjoy strong towing numbers with the other engine and drivetrain options. In addition to impressive numbers, every model also comes with the 2022 Chevy Colorado towing package, a suite of features designed to make hauling cargo as smooth, safe, and convenient as possible around Saugerties and beyond. Here are all the numbers:

Standard 2.5L 4-Cylinder

Be aware that if you choose the top-level Colorado ZR2 trim and pair it with the available 3.6L V6 or Turbo-Diesel engine, your towing capacity will be capped at 5,000 pounds rather than the maximum 7,700. However, the ZR2 trim comes with plenty of luxurious features and off-road capabilities to compensate for the reduced towing capacity.
