Each of the configurations comes equipped with a 310-hp 3.6L V6 engine rated at 266 lb-ft of torque. The rugged V6 engine comes connected to a 9-speed automatic transmission. • Tow/Haul Mode: The Tow/Haul mode is an available setting on the Driver Mode Selector. It configures the transmission shift points, so you can tow more easily. As the Traverse accelerates, the transmission will remain in a lower gear for a longer period of time to deliver more torque. The transmission will downshift when you’re traveling downhill so you have an easier time regulating speed. 
• Available Hitch Guidance: When you’re reversing, this optional feature displays hitch guidance lines on the central display where you can see the live feed from the Rear Vision Camera. This comes in handy when you’re reversing while trying to line up the hitch and trailer. 
• Available Hitch Guidance with Hitch View: Hitch View provides a close-up of the trailer hitch while you’re reversing. This feature makes it easier to line up your hitch and trailer. While you’re on the road, you can double-check the trailer connection point on the Rear Vision Camera to make sure everything looks secure.
